This is our first book review. It's simply because the book is sooo good that we felt compelled to write this article and bring it to your attention.

"Ginseng Roots A Memoir" is a graphic novel by Craig Thompson.

We love it so much because,

It's a graphic novel, not a long-form read. We love graphic novels.
The vast information of the planet, the history, the personal story distilled and juxtaposed makes it super interesting.
The drawings are exquisite in the sense of authenticity. If you know intimately about certain ethnic groups of people, you can almost identify the characters, even to the locales like Taiwan and Mainland China. It's definitely not a one-size-fits-all type of people rendering. That's mastery!!
The lettering of Chinese Characters, and product brands is very well drawn. If you see the brands in the wild, you will see them just like they are portrayed in the book.
The stories of himself and the inspirations that he shared, are... "inspiring"!
It's an easy read, but packed with so much information and rich drawings that you sometimes feel like you are seeing treasures left and right in a forest.

The only drawback is that my wife is also reading it and LOVING it too. That means we have to share time on the book.
